The night got off
to a great start, with table magician Tony Hyams, table hopping, and warming up the crowd.
The evening opened with myself performing The Vanishing Bandana Trick.
The first half was a good mix of magic.
B-Dazzled Magic - Darren Sneglar
Started off with a rountine involving 4 people, who all choose a card.
Darren then told them that they had all choosen the same card, to which they
named the cards, proving that Darren was wrong. He tore up the card in his hand
and gave them a pieces each, WHICH WAS THEIR CHOOSEN CARDS!
His second trick involved 4 cards Ace to 4 of Diamonds, each one vanished from
the pack and appeared in different places about his person, with the final card
turning blank and the card reappearing inside an envelope, inside his wallet.
The Magic Of John Shuttleworth
John started his rountine with a version of Slydini's Silk, his got 2 people up
to help him. They tied the silk's together, to which the knot's came undone.
This was repeated several times, finally the knot's multipled.
The next trick he did was The Baffle Box, he told an entertaining story about
travelling around the world looking for a box which produced coins, each
country he told about (with accent!!!), he produced a coin from that country
finally producing a roll of notes, from a box which remained empty throughtout
the act.
Timmy Taylor
Timmy was the final performer for the first half, the first effect he performed
was having 3 cards selected from the audience.
The cards were shuffled back into the deck, next he brought out a crick bat and
asked for the cards to be bowled at the bat, where he (attemped) hit the deck
and the three choosen cards stuck to bat.
His final trick, was a book test. For this his used a local telephone
directory, 3 random numbers were choosen from the audience, he then named the
business and telephone number at the top of that page!!! this was checked with
the phone book and he was correct!
There was now a 25min interval.
I opened the second half with an effect called Silent Treatment, where a card
is choosen from a picture of cards, and ends up being the card in my mouth.
Panda & Chicken
These 2 girls have never been on stage or done magic before this night.
They started with an entertaining version of cards across, using a 5ft chicken
to magically pass the cards across. Next they did a comedy card routine, having
a card selected and lost in the deck, after a couple of attemps to find the
card, it was found in an envelope that a member of the audience had held onto
from the beginning. They finished up their act with Spike, where Panda had a
6" spike hidden under some cups. She then broke each cup and somehow
managed not to impale herself with the spike!
A very good show for first timers!!
Romanos
Our youngest act of the evening, opened with a great multiplying ball, to
music, finally producing a crystal ball!
He finished his act with an invisible touch routine, where he got an audience
member up, closed their eyes and pretended to touch them on the arm, to which
they said they were actually touched!! Very spooky.
Jason Southern
Our final act of the evening, Jason opened with a colour card routine,
where he has 4 coloured cards mixed up and placed into envelopes. As each one
was handed back to him, he guessed with colour with in which envelope.
His final effcct was having 4 helpers in a line, each given a envelope with the
colour cards in. An audience member with the prediction in, was offered to mix
the envelopes up rather. When the envelope was opened it revealed that all the
envelopes and colour cards were infact in the same order as the prediction!!!
All over it was a very entertaing evening and i hope everyone enjoyed it as
much as we did performing it.
Hope you will join us for
the next event or even take part!
